COUNTY FOOTBALL UPDATE:

August 31, 2008

So I know that Em. I have one thing in commen, we love football. Well she attends Gordon Lee and I go to Heritage High. Friday night was football season kickoff! Heritage played Sonoraville, Ringgold didn’t have a game, Gordon Lee played Ridgeland, and LFO had a game too. HHS, Gordon Lee, and LFO all lost. It is sad indeed, but hey, it’s the first game. And for HHS, it is the first year!

So GOOD LUCK to all those football players, and REMEMBER, all that you do, will reflect on God’s reputation.

Brit.

PS: If you have pics from your school events, send them to Brit. and Em. @ bbbcgirls@aol.com we’d love to put them on the site! The picture above is one from the HHS game.

One Way Worship #2

August 29, 2008

Okay, so on Wednesday it was our second worship session of this school year. It was really good. To me it seemed like everthing went very smoothly. The band did good, no major mess-ups, and Billy’s message was really good too! This week was really good because whenever the band was performing, it seemed like everyone in the crowd was responding to it in a positive manner. It was a good service. I know that I felt God in the middle of everything, and that is a great feeling. In the beginning we did testamonies, to my surprise, there were several people that wanted to share. It was awesome!

Let’s hope that we can keep the spirit of God in a uprising motion like we are doing now!

DO NOT FORGET!!!!

WATCH THIS VIDEO!!

August 25, 2008

Okay, so this video displayed two different messages to me. The first one being, that there are people watching us. Just like the little girl in the beginning of this video, there are people who hear and see us. If they are people who don’t know much about God and don’t know much about being a Christian, they will probably make assumptions on what it is to be a Christian and how you can act. The next message is that we don’t fall into a HUMONGUS sin just right off the bat. We “slowly fade” into it. Just like the song says. So whenever you find that little temptation creeping up on you, just remember that one little bitty temptation will just lead to another one, and before you know it, you’re into some deep trouble. Let’s go out and remember to let God take control of our lives, and to live our lives like He wants us to!

One Way Worship Kickoff

August 21, 2008

So today was this year’s first One Way Worship in the youth group at Burning Bush Baptist Church! It was beyond amazing! So we have like 9 people who sing up there and then we have I think 3 or 4 guitar payers, and a drummer, and so on. Well we rocked! We sung: God In This City, We Fall Down, Sing Sing Sing, and One Way. It wa a lot of fun!

Well we did something tonight that we have NEVER done in youth worship. We had the Lord’s Supper. It was a wow moment. So not only did the students just go up there and take the bread and juice, they knelt at the alter and prayed. It was AMAZING! We truly felt the presence of God in there with us!

Let me tell you, I have totally and honesly felt God’s presence in my life the past few weeks. I know now waht it means to be a true Christian, and it is unexplainable. I love it! I was saved on March 7, 2008, and ever since then I’ve grown closer to the Lord. It seems like everyday there is a new adventure waiting for me. I’ve been able to learn how to listen to what God has to say in my life, and that ROCKS! He has told me some cool things.

So tonight, we could tell that the Lord has been working in not only my life, but the lives of many others. It is AMAZING!

I challenge you: Do you know the Lord? Do you have a real relationship with him? Are you living God’s word out?  Go out there and do God’s work, do what he tells you. But most important, LISTEN TO WHAT HE HAS TO TELL YOU!
